Ultra Clean Technology Receives "Outstanding Supplier" Salute From Global Semiconductor Technology Leader Lam Research Corporation.
Menlo Park, CA - April 09, 2007 – Ultra Clean Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: UCTT), the parent company of Ultra Clean Technology (UCT), a leading developer and supplier of critical subsystems for the semiconductor capital equipment and advanced medical device industries, announced today that it has been awarded "Outstanding Supplier" status by Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ: LRCX). This prestigious award recognizes the achievements of a select list of top tier suppliers.

With 210 suppliers in attendance, Ultra Clean Technology received the award on March 14th, 2006 at the Lam Research Corporation annual Supplier Day conference. This year, 56 suppliers were nominated for the award. The screening process utilizes Lam’s carefully devised Quality Scorecard. UCT led the field of six top suppliers with the highest overall score for 2006. Additionally, Ultra Clean posted the greatest year-over-year improvement as well. This is the second time in three years that Lam Research has recognized Ultra Clean Technology with an award for exceptional quality.
UCT provides Fremont, CA-based Lam Research Corporation with a variety of critical subsystems used in advanced wafer fabrication systems. Two of these subsystems are unique, high precision modules designed for used in the innovative, Lam Microwave Stripper and the Strip 45 Systems. These next-generation wafer cleaning solutions from Lam Research employ proprietary technology and can be used throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process.
