Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) to provide turnkey process module for technology leader Photon Dynamics, Inc.

Menlo Park, CA, 3-08-08 – Ultra Clean Technology (Ultra Clean Holdings, Inc. - NASDAQ: UCTT), a leading developer and supplier of critical subsystems for the semiconductor capital equipment industry announced today that they have entered into a partnership agreement with Photon Dynamics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PHTN) to manufacture, integrate and test Photon Dynamics’ complete line of ArrayChecker™ test products. ArrayChecker is Photon Dynamics’ market leading LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) array test system.

Photon Dynamics has chosen to partner with Ultra Clean to implement state-of-the-art, logistics and modular manufacturing techniques to help reduce equipment development and manufacturing costs and speed new product introductions. The first shipment of Photon Dynamics’ test products will be manufactured in Ultra Clean’s South San Francisco facility in Q1, 2008, and are expected to be ready for delivery later the same quarter. Subsequent manufacturing will take place in Q2, 2008 at UCT's Shanghai facility with delivery scheduled for summer 2008.

Complex systems for advanced flat panel yield management.

Ultra Clean Technology will provide turnkey manufacturing (including highly specialized electromechanical modules) for all versions of Photon Dynamics' ArrayChecker test products. The systems will be assembled, tested and qualified as part of a large-scale system integration program. The industry’s migration toward larger display panels is driving the need to maximize manufacturing yields. Advanced test equipment thus becomes increasingly critical with each successive product generation.

"Our ability to deliver an end-to-end solution for these unique systems - on schedule, in key locations, demonstrates that UCT has the agility and means to participate in a successful, long-term relationship with Photon Dynamics", remarked Mr. Clarence Granger, UCT's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Granger continued, "I believe our proven manufacturing expertise, exceptional customer support and sound business practices were significant factors contributing to this new strategic partnership."
